Ivory Mystery Snail (Pomacea bridgesii)
Description: A striking and peaceful freshwater snail featuring a pristine, solid off-white to porcelain-ivory shell and body. These active scavengers are fantastic additions to community aquariums, steadily gliding across the substrate and glass to help keep your tank tidy.
Key Features:
Elegant, solid ivory coloration that stands out beautifully against dark substrates and planted aquascapes.
Completely peaceful and safe with live plants, fish, and shrimp (unlike some other snail species, they typically consume only decaying plant matter).
Excellent cleanup crew member that eagerly feeds on leftover fish food, algae, and detritus without multiplying out of control in freshwater (as they require above-water surfaces to lay distinct egg clutches).
Care Requirements:
Tank Mates: Peaceful; compatible with almost all non-aggressive fish, shrimp, and other snails. Avoid housing with heavy shell-crushing predators like large cichlids or loaches.
Water Parameters: Temperature 68°F to 82°F, pH 7.0 to 8.0, and moderate-to-high hardness (GH/KH) to ensure healthy, strong shell growth.
Diet: Omnivore; supplements well with sinking algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini or spinach), and calcium-rich foods.

Why it matters
Most livestock gets shipped straight from a crowded holding tank. Ours doesn't.
