​Temperament: Peaceful, schooling/shoaling. Recommendation: Keep in groups with a ratio of multiple females per male to spread out courting activity.

​Diet: Omnivorous. Easily accepts high-quality crushed flakes, micro-pellets, spirulina, and frozen foods like baby brine shrimp or daphnia.

​Aquarium Note: Because they are active surface swimmers with a natural propensity to jump, a secure aquarium lid or lowered water line is strongly recommended.
